Transactions: filter & search
The Transactions tab lists every booking of your file by date, with the amount in the original currency, the amount in euros and the gain or loss.
In short:
- Below the original-currency amount you see the rate used, e.g. "÷ 1.0850".
- Filters narrow the bookings down; they are part of the page address.
- Filtering recalculates nothing; it only hides rows.
What the table shows
Below the original-currency amount is the exchange rate used ("÷ 1.0850"): the ECB reference rate of the day, as published by the Bundesbank. Columns (heading Visible columns) shows or hides columns; Show all shows every column, Minimal only the main ones.
Below the symbol you see the booking's tax category, for funds with the fund kind (e.g. ETFs & funds · Equity fund). The Type column names the security: Stock, ETF, ETC (e.g. gold securities such as Xetra-Gold), Certificate, Bond, Option. The Action column says what happened, for example Buy, Sell, Sell to open, Buy to close, Expiry or Assignment.
Only a booking that does not go into the tax shows a status, as an icon explained on hover: Open (position still open on 31 Dec), No tax effect (e.g. fees) or Not included. What you added yourself under Adjustments is marked Manual. On a phone each booking takes two lines: symbol and amount, then date, action and quantity.
Which purchases a sale used up under FIFO, with holding days and gain per purchase, is shown in the audit trail.
Filtering
The filters above the table narrow the bookings down:
| Filter | Example |
|---|---|
| Search | a symbol or a word from the description |
| Category, Type, Action | ETFs & funds, ETC, Sell |
| Symbol | one or several, with a search field |
| Status | Open position, Needs a look, Manual entry, In the tax |
| Result, Currency | Loss, USD |
| Date range | tax year, quarter, month or your own from/to dates |
Filters you set show as chips below the bar; a click removes one, Reset all removes them all. Top right you see how many bookings are left ("12 of 41 bookings"). On a phone, Filters opens all filters at once.
The filters are part of the page address. So you can bookmark a filtered view, and Back restores the previous filter. From the Overview and the Forms tab, Related bookings in Transactions (incl. buys) takes you straight to a matching filtered view.
